Yoga Basics provides instruction in proper breathing and alignment while familiarizing
the new student with yoga asanas (postures). The Sun Salutation is introduced as
well as prop usage and any postural modifications that may be needed.
Beginning Power Yoga focuses on alignment, energy building and breathing. You will
learn to flow from posture to posture by linking the breath with movement. This
builds energy in the body so you can perform the postures more safely and effectively.
This is an energizing class for beginners.
Intermediate/advanced Power Yoga is the next step up from Beginning Power Yoga.
It is a flow class with the focus on continual movement and breathing in combination
with the bandhas (energy locks). This builds and circulates energy that strengthens
the practitioner from the core. It also connects and balances the mind and emotions
with the body. This is an intermediate level class so be prepared to sweat.
Targeted Self-Massage [TSM] is a class that combines self massage and targeted stretching.
It usually focuses on hip or shoulder opening but can include many other areas of
the body. It is great for actors, dancers, athletes and yogis or people rehabbing
from injuries.
